Wappenham Road Road Closure

Wappenham Road Closure - Update as of 09:45 Friday 5th May 2017

There will be no through traffic on Wappenham Road over the weekend of the 5th May. Traffic control personnel will be on site 24 hours/day to allow residents to access their properties.

The surfacing work will be completed by Tuesday and drainage work at Church End/Wappenham Road will start on Wednesday 10th May and be completed by Friday 12th May.. Read More »

Pimlico Light Railway

Pimlico Light Railway (in Syresham Parish) celebrated its 10th Anniversary in 2016 and is hugely popular. Even though its only open from 3-5pm on the fourth Sunday of the summer months, it attracts around 800 passengers per year.

Public running days are Sundays May 28th; June 25th; July 23rd; August 27th and September 24th (unless wet)

Tesco Bags of Help Grant

The Parish Council were successfully awarded £1000 towards the project to replace the bark chippings in the Swingfield. As you can see the bark is now replaced and the areas backfilled with topsoil and grass seed. The Swingfield is open and areas not marked off with red and white tape can be used, however please keep off the newly seeded areas until the tape is removed.

The resolution below was approved on the 2nd December:

The Trustees of Syresham Village Hall (Charity number 304250) resolve to sell the existing Village Hall site on High Street, Syresham to allow a new Village Hall to be built on Main Road, Syresham at the appropriate time.
