Northamptonshire Highways are requiring to carry out flood prevention works on a section of the above road between Bell Lane and Church End. To undertake these works safely will require that the road is closed for up to two weeks from the 17th April 2017 between 8am and 6pm.

The Parish Council were successfully awarded £1000 towards the project to replace the bark chippings in the Swingfield. As you can see the bark is now replaced and the areas backfilled with topsoil and grass seed. The Swingfield is open and areas not marked off with red and white tape can be used, however please keep off the newly seeded areas until the tape is removed.

The resolution below was approved on the 2nd December:
The Trustees of Syresham Village Hall (Charity number 304250) resolve to sell the existing Village Hall site on High Street, Syresham to allow a new Village Hall to be built on Main Road, Syresham at the appropriate time. The plans for a new village hall and 26 houses will be on display in the village hall between 1-5pm and between 7-7.30pm on Wednesday 27th April. The Parish Council meeting will start at 7.30pm on the 27th and the plans will formally be considered at this meeting.

Every year, the Parish Council organise a litter pick to keep the village neat and tidy. If you can spare a few minutes, the litter picking equipment is stored in the Village Hall car park and can be picked up through the week until Sunday 23rd April. Full black bags can be left in the corner of the car park and will be removed next week.
