After facing tough competition, the winning villages in this year’s Calor Northamptonshire Village of the Year competition were announced at a presentation ceremony held on Tuesday 21 July.

Over 60 villagers gathered at the Hunsbury Hill Centre, Harksome Hill, for an awards event where the results were announced and certificates presented. The village of Syresham is the overall winner of the competition gaining the prestigious title of Calor Northamptonshire Village of the Year for 2009. Middleton Cheney was the runner up.
