Wow! who'da thought that Syreshamites could be so creative. Took a look at the Scarecrow Festival page - absolutely adorable - well done Syresham at coming into the 21st century, love it!!
Totally miss this place, many memories of my childhood.
Have a wonderful 2012

We would like to wish everyone in Syresham a very Merry Christmas & Happy, Peaceful & Healthy New Year.
As a family we would like to thank you all for the help, sustenance , interest & understanding given to us whilst we were searching for Amber recently.
Amber, of course, is now lying in front of the fire as if nothing had happened.
We were very moved by your reactions.
Thank You all

So wonderful to find this site. My family were Americans living in your village from 1955-1959, the best years of my childhood. My brother Robert and I both attended the village school; I was five and he was six in 1955. My mother ,Hazel Hayes, taught dance to the village girls and they had a recital on stage, probably at the school. I remember Guy Fawkes Bonfires and also dancing the Maypole and carrying the train of the Queen of the May. We lived in a very old home rented from a Miss Paynter, a survivor of the Lusitania sinking. I have lots of great photos and memories, and would love to hear from anyone who remembers me or my family, or would just like to chat. My Mom is 93 and still drives ( she first learned on a Morris Minor in your village!) I would love to visit the village someday .

Hi, great to see the website up and running and being updated on a regular basis. It's good for us northerners to catch up on Syresham where we used to live and where our daughter Sarah was born in 1994. Hope everyone is well in the village - Ruth hasn't changed in the pictures. How is Pat Crowley doing these days? Love to everyone who remembers us especially Sue Palmer, Pat & Sue Crowley, Brenda & Ed and also John & Janette Shannon xxxx

Good website, but how or where do we submit information to if we have a village story that might be of interest to others? I can't see any suitable links or contact details on the site. Please advise?

Great to see the website take off properly and it'll be a good way to keep in touch now we've moved away.

A great site for those that have moved away from Syresham to keep in touch with what is going on!

What a splendid start, after a long and painful road, trodden successfully by some dedicated and determined villagers.
Congratulations! May it go from strength to strength.
